Bar stool

This piece of furniture was built while studying in Copenhagen, Denmark. The design criteria was to build a piece of furniture that could be easily flat packed and shipped. During the initial design phase, field observations were done to determine pain points that users encounters while sitting on a bar stool. It was noticed that users needed more storage (for phones, purses, wallets, etc), a way to protect their belongings, and easy access to their belongings. This sparked the inspiration for the enclosed shelf under the seat. The seat can be removed to easily access the shelf.

Bar Stool built from 2cm thick bamboo plywood (82cm X 36cm X 28cm). Can be flat packed into a 82cm X 36cm X 4cm box. Requires sixteen brass screws in order to be put together.
